What Causes Fibromyalgia?
The above condition is associated with pain. Other than being serious, it leads to major impacts in the human body. Some of the symptoms of this condition are pain, discomfort and fatigue. This condition chooses a part in the body or may migrate over time. Other patients suffer from the whole body condition. The causes of this disease are however not identified. There exists factors brought up by scientists that may lead to fibromyalgia. Some of them will be discussed below.
One of them is hormonal changes. For instance when the hormone such as cortisol is released when a person is undergoing stress, it may lead to this condition. Serotonin and noradrenaline are very important hormones in the human body. This is because they regulate so many things in the human body. Examples of such things include; mood, appetite, sleep, behavior and responses to stress. However, patients with fibromyalgia have extremely low levels of these hormones. This results to fibromyalgia conditions.
Sleep is also a cause and symptom of fibromyalgia. Patients of fibromyalgia lack sleep. Patients also feel extreme fatigue. The patients become restless and uncomfortable. Another cause of this condition is associated with genes. Depending on the genetic make-up of a person, it may determine whether they can be infected or not. Although not much is said about genetics, scientists claim that there are people likely to get this condition than others.
Although the following triggers could lead to fibromyalgia, some do not always lead to this condition. One; an injury may make a person stressed for an extended period of time. For instance, broken limbs are as a result of very serious accidents. Careers such as footballers and artists may not be able to exercise profession for the rest of their lives. Accumulated stress may lead to fibromyalgia.
People who acquire viral diseases suffer from depression for the rest of their lives. Patients who find out that they have HIV/AIDS may live the rest of their lives cursing themselves. They may learn not to accept themselves for the rest of their lives. This may later lead to stress and fibromyalgia.
Pregnant mothers who lose their babies after long procedures of operation suffer a great deal. It becomes a painful experience of sorrow and hopelessness. Even in the recovery period, such mothers may take a long time. In their motherhood state, they experience stress, pain, and anguish. Later on, one may develop fibromyalgia.
Relationships exist in two ways; either healthy or unhealthy. Unhealthy relationships may lead to violence, abuses, accidents and sometimes break up. When people give in their all in a relationship and later get disappointed, they may develop fibromyalgia due to stress. In conclusion, it is important to note that most patients who get this condition are likely to be women. Researchers say that this is due to reasons related to hormones, genes, and immune differences.
